WORK: Almost 8 years at NAB, currently branch manager in Camberwell

LIVE: Burnley

ORIGINALLY FROM: Hobart

YOU’VE RECENTLY BECOME A FATHER?
Its hard work! Nothing prepares you for it. But its a lot of fun and my boy Luca is the coolest kid. Were also very lucky that my partner Daisy is supermum and takes good care of us both!

HOW HAS LUCA CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
It makes the 5am wakeup harder and my weekends have definitely changed. But he makes me want to be a better person every day.

WHERE DO YOU FIT TRAINING INTO THIS?
For me my routine is very important. Mornings are best as it sets up my day and I already feel like I achieve something before I get to work.

HOW DID YOU FIRST HEAR ABOUT GRIPT?
I had been doing PT at a commercial gym when Drew reached out and told me about Gript, it had only just started up and was in its early stages (unreal to see how far it has come since).

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST EXPERIENCE?
I started training in the energize sessions and was hooked. I hadn’t enjoyed training like this before and was different to anything I had ever done.

WHAT DOES YOU TRAINING WEEK INCLUDE? I train in the men’s hypertrophy classes 4 mornings a week at 6am and (most) Saturdays do an energize.

SINCE JOINING GRIPT WHAT HAVE YOU GOT OUT OF IT? Even after nearly 3 years the training is varied and challenging enough to keep me motivated and pushing myself. The physical benefits have been great and the mental benefits have probably kept me on the right track in a lot of aspects in my life. What I didn’t expect was the great friends I have made at GRIPT.

WHAT ARE YOUR MAIN REASONS FOR TRAINING? When I’m consistent with training I’m at my best in all aspects of my life; work, personal, health. I also don’t think I can pull off a dad-bod just yet.

ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE? Practice daily rituals. For me its Gript, play with Luca and listen to a podcast/read before work. Doing this in the morning keeps me positive and motivated.
